The datAshur PRO+C, equipped with a Type-C interface, stands as the world’s first and only flash drive awaiting validation from the new FIPS 140-3 Level 3 scheme, ensuring robust data security.
The user-friendly datAshur PRO+C from iStorage is a USB 3.2 (Gen 1) Type-C flash drive that combines high-speed performance, ease of use, and top-level security measures. It employs PIN protection and hardware encryption to safeguard data to military-grade standards. Available in various capacities ranging from 32GB to 512GB, this innovative device also includes a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter, allowing users to adapt to evolving USB interfaces seamlessly.
The FIPS certification, globally recognised for its stringent testing procedures, demonstrates compliance with the highest standards for encryption algorithms and data protection. It serves as a benchmark for data security in the US government. The FIPS 140-3 standard ensures that hardware meets specific security thresholds, with the latest certification adding requirements for physical tamper-resistance and identity-based authentication.
The advanced security features of the drive provide complete data security and ensure maximum data protection at all times. The drive is equipped with a rechargeable battery, enabling users to enter an 8-15 digit PIN using the on-board keypad before connecting it to a USB port. Without the user’s unique PIN, the datAshur PRO+C remains inaccessible, providing peace of mind in case of loss or theft.
The datAshur PRO+C is designed with independent user and admin PINs, making it ideal for corporate and government use. In the event that a user forgets their PIN, the drive can be unlocked using the admin PIN, allowing the user to set a new PIN.
Moreover, the datAshur PRO+C is programmed to protect against brute force attacks. If the user enters the PIN incorrectly ten consecutive times, the user PIN will be deleted. All data will remain on the device but can only be accessed by entering the admin PIN. However, if the admin PIN is entered incorrectly ten times, the PIN, encryption key, and data will be irreversibly lost, and the device will revert to factory default settings.
