Bruton Knowles has achieved a milestone in the South West by securing its largest-ever letting in the region. The firm has leased the entire 19,000 sq ft Cathedral View 2 building at The Forum in Gloucester to Fasthosts Internet Ltd, a subsidiary of German company Ionos SE.
The deal, which took over a year to finalize, was spearheaded by Dorian Wragg, Head of Commercial Property and Partner at Bruton Knowles. The Forum, developed by Reef Group with backing from Gloucester City Council, features a total of 97,707 sq ft of office space across two buildings, along with a hotel, apartments, parking, landscaped areas, a gym, retail outlets, restaurants, and a creative hub. It also boasts BREEAM certification for its sustainable design.
Wragg commented, “This significant office move reflects a shift toward a balanced workplace model, blending design with energy and vibrancy. The demand for high-quality, sustainably designed buildings continues to outpace supply, particularly as hybrid work models gain traction.”
Fasthosts will relocate over 250 employees to the new space, boosting interest and investment in Gloucester and reinforcing its status as a leading digital and cyber security hub.
Simon Yeoman, CEO of Fasthosts, praised Bruton Knowles for their local expertise and smooth handling of the transaction. “The Forum provides an ideal modern workspace with excellent amenities and views,” he said.
James Bailey, Managing Partner at Bruton Knowles, highlighted the firm’s deep-rooted connections and expertise in the Gloucester and South West property markets, underscoring their commitment to enhancing the region’s profile.
