SurgeU Plans To Equip Christian Entrepreneurs With Skills for the Marketplace

SurgeU Plans To Equip Christian Entrepreneurs With Skills for the Marketplace

Christian entrepreneurs and investors seeking to make a kingdom impact in the marketplace now have a new educational resource at their disposal. SurgeU aims to provide faith-based financial and business education to equip individuals with the skills needed for success in various sectors. The progressive platform was developed to fulfill a need for comprehensive, biblically based financial education products.

“We’re big into what we call ‘marketplace ministry,’” Jeremy Nosek, SurgeU’s chief strategy officer, says. “That ultimately means our goal is to help equip Christian investors and entrepreneurs to have the influence and resources to take back territory for Kingdom Impact. Our first education verticals are for investors in the financial markets and with real estate, with future plans to expand into many areas of business, serving would-be entrepreneurs and existing business owners.”

The platform’s current trading and investing curriculum covers a wide range of financial topics, including equities, futures, options, and currencies, and unlocks mysteries behind digital assets, including cryptocurrency. In its Crypto Surge course, students are taught the history of cryptocurrency, what blockchain technology is, the mechanics of digital assets, and what to consider when buying and trading this cutting-edge currency.

A Unique Approach to Financial Education

SurgeU differentiates itself through its focus on skill-building rather than mere knowledge acquisition. Rob Collins, SurgeU’s chief marketing officer, emphasized this distinction: “We’re in the business of equipping Christian investors with important life skills, not simply delivering education.”

SurgeU’s curriculum also incorporates faith-based elements, including worship sessions and discussions of biblical financial principles. The biweekly Kingdom Surge program provides students with worship, prayer, and inspiration opportunities.

Technology and Community at the Core

Technological integration plays a significant role in SurgeU’s educational approach. The platform offers custom trading tools to assist students in applying learned strategies and adhering to their individual trading plans.

Community-building forms another cornerstone of the SurgeU experience. The platform encourages peer-to-peer support and interaction, fostering a network of like-minded Christian investors and entrepreneurs.

“We’re big on community,” Nosek notes. “We’re working on creating local groups and online communities where like-minded students can meet to share, encourage, and support each other throughout their learning journey.”

Addressing a Broader Mission

SurgeU’s founders view their work as part of a larger mission to address financial literacy and empowerment within the Christian community. Citing a recent MarketWatch survey that unveiled that 66% of Americans feel like they live paycheck to paycheck, Nosek expressed concern about the widespread lack of financial preparedness..

“When two thirds of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and well behind their retirement goals, that’s a big problem, ” says Nosek. “And the Christians we talk to don’t want to just get through retirement. They want to leave a legacy for their kids. Proverbs 13:22 tells us a good person leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. One of the primary goals of SurgeU is to equip people to close the gap between where they are now and where they need to be to take care of their own retirement, leave a legacy for their kids and provide resources to help fund the causes our students feel called to serve.”

While currently focused on financial markets, SurgeU also covers various aspects of entrepreneurship. Collins emphasizes that the ultimate goal extends beyond individual financial success: “The whole filter along it is: What are you doing for Kingdom Impact? What are you doing for other people? It takes money to influence the culture.”

By connecting Christian entrepreneurs and investors with advanced financial skills and a community of support, SurgeU hopes to catalyze a movement of financially empowered individuals ready to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

With nearly 57 million people having no access to a retirement plan at work, it’s never been more important to educate oneself about financial future options. SurgeU aims to raise awareness on the matter through its Asset Surge course. It teaches students how to manage a retirement or investment portfolio, develop a long-term financial plan, and how to maximize their assets while minimizing risk.

The platform’s launch comes at a time when many are seeking alternative paths to financial security and purpose-driven entrepreneurship. SurgeU’s blend of faith-based principles, cutting-edge financial education, and community support offers a unique proposition in online learning and economic empowerment.

Students interested in exploring SurgeU’s offerings can begin with a three-day introductory course. This allows them to assess whether the platform aligns with their goals and learning style before committing to more extensive programs.

Nosek adds that even the most established financial traders can still benefit from keeping their skills sharp and continually learning the latest economic trends.

“There’s a reason why Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods — the best athletes in the world — still have coaches and it’s one of the reasons they are the best athletes in the world,” Nosek explains. “We believe that if there’s a skill you’re looking to master, you’re never done learning to become better at it. Ultimately, that’s the difference between building skills and formal academics. It’s a never-ending journey.”
