New signature highlights on the menu include roasted beetroot with tahini yoghurt, pomegranate and lamb lettuce; baked St Marcellin with truffle honey; and seared Cornish cod with buttered leek, apple and thyme dressing. Perfect for sharing, a large showstopping chateaubriand comes complete with two sauces and two sides, with a selection of other steak cuts also available alongside a daily-changing fish special. Desserts are ooh la la with a classic tarte tatin, île flottante and chocolate fondant as well as a plum vegan cheesecake.
Ideally placed for business breakfasts, the morning menu features all the classics, from a full English to eggs benedict, royale or Florentine, plus avocado on sourdough toast, overnight oats, buttermilk pancake stacks and a selection of freshly baked pastries. Later this year, afternoon tea and brunch will be introduced, transforming RAILS Restaurant into an all-day dining destination.
The interiors are bright, airy and flooded with natural daylight thanks to large floor to ceiling windows and mirrors adorning the walls. Wooden panelling, foliage and pendant lights warm the space whilst thick velvet curtains reminiscent of a Parisian café complete the look.
Located next to RAILS Restaurant, the cosy and inviting Little Bar offers a creative menu of classic and signature French-inspired cocktails with a certain je ne sais quoi. The Michel’s Sour is a punchy a mix of Michel Couvreur Whiskey, lemon and red wine, whilst The Morning Routine is made with Grey Goose Vodka, Grand Marnier and Pampelle. A wide selection of wine, half of which will be French, will also be available alongside craft beers, ales and soft drinks. An extensive choice of aperitifs and digestifs further lend to the French aesthetic, with choices such as Pernod Anise, Chartreuse Yellow and Château Suduiraut, 1er Cru Classé, Sauternes 2008.
