Fooditude Collaborates with Telsen to Enhance Food Safety, Minimize Waste, and Automate Operations

Catering company Fooditude has joined forces with digital food safety platform Telsen to enhance its management of food safety, waste reduction, and automation processes.

Based in London, Fooditude specializes in delivered office food services. Operating from a 20,000-square-foot production kitchen in South Bermondsey, the company is recognized for its high-quality, innovative catering solutions, providing up to 5,000 meals daily using fresh, local ingredients for prominent clients like Pinterest, Amex, and Samsara.

As the company has grown, it has faced several challenges, including the need for improved visibility across its operations from the central kitchen to client locations. Additionally, Fooditude aimed to replace inefficient paper-based processes and sought a flexible, centralized digital solution to effectively monitor operations and ensure compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Environmental Health Officer (EHO) audits.

To address these challenges, Fooditude has partnered with Telsen to enhance food safety, intelligently monitor production and storage, and promote sustainability through IoT sensors and AI-driven insights.

Telsen’s technology offers the following benefits:

  • Temperature and Humidity Monitoring: Continuously tracks conditions in fridges and freezers at the production kitchen to ensure compliance and maintain food quality.

  • Bluetooth Probes: Utilizes Bluetooth food temperature probes connected to the Telsen app to ensure that cooking, storage, and reheating temperatures are accurately maintained.
  • Guidance and Corrective Actions: Provides in-app assistance to ensure safe food handling and reduce mishandling incidents.
  • Customizable Checklists: Enables the creation of tailored checklists for daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks, including health and safety audits, cleaning, and fire checks, with alerts for employees when tasks are due.
  • Paperless Processes: Eliminates the need for paper-based reporting, simplifying adherence to health, safety, and operational standards.
